Innovation as the origin of our company and its corporate culture! Based on his patented idea, known ever since across the globe as fineblanking, Fritz Schiess-Forrer founded today`s Fritz Schiess AG in 1920.
The innovative spirit of the founder continues to be consciously cultivated by the third generation as a key facet of today`s corporate culture and remains a cornerstone of the company`s ongoing success.
Tradition meets Innovation
The expertise gained from making over 6400 finished tools and dies, combined with state-of-the-art machining centres, allow us to successfully realise innovative and superbly accurate solutions to engineering challenges.
In the interests of our customers and fired by that same spirit of the founder, we exploit the latest understanding of materials and technologies in our determination to extend and redefine the limits of the fineblanking process. Participating in your success is our motivation.
Fineblanking – What is that?
The fineblanking process in detail
Fineblanking allows highly accurate parts to be produced without the need for secondary operations on the sheared faces. The material is restrained during the shearing process and cannot escape. This allows parts to be accurately blanked and formed in one and the same operation.
The accuracy of the fineblanking process is Swiss precision at its best.
Comparison with conventional stamping
Conventional stamping generates tearing or breakout in the sheared faces. As a rule, stamped functional surfaces require secondary operations.
